The Angus Scott Pipe Band was formed in 1955 by a small but dedicated group and is one of the oldest continuing Scottish bagpipe bands in the Spokane & Coeur d'Alene area.
The band was named in memory of Pipe Major Angus Scott of Kimberley B.C. His enthusiasm and support for the project had much influence on the Scottish community in the Inland Empire.
In this photo of the Kimberley Pipe Band dated July 1, 1927 we see Angus and his brother Hamish Scott:

The primary objectives of the Angus Scott Pipe Band are:
Our bagpipe band brings together a unique fusion of celtic musical styles and genres, featuring exceptionally talented musicians playing everything from Uilleann pipes to Scottish smallpipes and Shuttle Pipes. We perform live several times throughout the year such as at the Spokane Highland Games and The Fall Folk Festival—be sure to check our calendar for upcoming shows. We love connecting with our fans and sharing our passion for music. Come along and immerse yourself in the bagpiping and drumming experience in Spokane!
Where we learn, play and have fun!
